Edit Live Section
The Edit Live Section feature provides an easy way to adjust a design in a Section or Elevation view. This process is now streamlined, to remove many previous manual actions. You can effortlessly modify objects in the current drawing or in any level of xref.
This feature, which was previewed earlier for objects only in the host drawing, has been extended to support any level xref attachments.
The Edit Reference in Place command will run transparently. You can select multiple objects that are in the same xref for editing. This feature now also supports nested xrefs and blocks.
A new setting in the Properties for the 2D Section/Elevation Result will cause it to refresh when the opening the drawing. This means that 2D Section/Elevation Results are always up-to-date.
The update will happen no matter how the drawing is opened. This is in response to previous Customer Council requests for the ability to make this setting per result.
Modify Section Defining Line
In addition, grip states have been added to the Section line to allow it to be modified rather than having to recreate it.
Grip states have been added to the Section line to enable it to be modified without having to recreate it. You can now add a vertex or a parallel jog using the midpoint grip of a segment, or remove a vertex with its endpoint grip, except for the start and end points, which can only be moved.
Manage Content Library dialog in the Style Browser now allows you to add a directory so that all of the drawings will be included. In addition, addition, you have the option to include the subfolders in the directory. This gives you access to all of the styles in without having to include the files individually.
This enhancement was suggested by a Customer Council member and implemented to help improve standards and consistency.
A360 has been added to the Select Drawings dialog box for the Content Library. This enables styles to be shared among geographically dispersed teams.
Architects now have the ability to modify a Roof outline using grips. A vertex can be added, enabling you to segment the line for greater flexibility. You can offset a straight edge as well as turn into an arc. This ability gives you more control when modifying roof outlines.
Using the “Shape” keyword you can easily create shapes like; Rectangle, Circle, Polygon, & Polyline (free shape drawing) for these objects.
With the Polyline option, you can also add curves in objects that do not support an “Arc” option in the usual Add process, such as Railings. In addition, it is much easier to create tangential curves for objects like walls.
