The 3ds Max for Inventor Users – Static Images training course is for new and infrequent users wanting to learn how to render good quality static images within 3ds Max, part of the Autodesk Design Suites and Autodesk Collections. No prior experience of 3ds Max is required, but a good understanding of how geometry is created in Autodesk Inventor is required.

The objective of this two day course is to guide users through the process of taking their detailed Inventor geometry into 3ds Max through hands-on, practical exercises. Students will acquire the knowledge needed to go back and apply this process to their own products for marketing and presentation purposes.

The 3ds Max for Inventor Users – Static Images training course will cover the following items and more:

  • Navigate the interface
  • Object selection methods and unit’s setup
  • Prepare the Inventor model for 3ds Max with best practises
  • Import settings and preferences
  • The Material Editor
  • Materials and maps
  • Standard lighting

  • Background images and perspective matching
  • Rendering with ART and Arnold
  • Rendering options and pre-sets
  • Camera types, parameters, effects and composition
  • Simple turntable animation
