The class assumes a mastery of Inventor basics as taught in Inventor Fundamentals
BIM for Manufacturing builds on the skills acquired in the Inventor Fundamentals training course, to enable students to take their manufactured detailed designs and pass them through the Autodesk BIM exchange. The students will become familiar with simplification tools within Inventor and learn the geometry types accepted by Autodesk Revit. Throughout the course they will develop an understanding of the BIM for Manufacturing workflow, and how to add product specific Metadata and create BIM ready files. They will also understand and learn how to take a Revit file back into Autodesk Inventor, to enable them to model geometry around building designs and also how to visualise their designs within Revit to bring their BIM files into context.
