Working within a BIM Lifecycle: PAS1192-2:2013

BIM Documentation is fundamental to BIM and is needed at various stages with the lifecycle of a BIM project as documented in PAS1192-2:2013. BIM-specific documents provide project or owner/operator information that ensures that all of the project team are aligned with how the flow and management of data will be produced and shared throughout the lifecycle of a project.

Projects we have worked on have seen better and more efficient results when following a clear and concise set of documents produced at the start. It is important that documents are tailored to the needs of the project and project teams. Without a structured set of documents the control, management and measurement of information becomes a lot more difficult.

BIM Lifecycle and Documentation

Majenta Solutions BIM Consultants can work with you to align with your strategy, in order to create and develop structured and relevant BIM documentation tailored to your needs and requirements. We will consider your discipline, and advise and provide industry-specific best practices along with what information should be provided, and when in the BIM lifecycle it is needed.

Documents we have successfully created include:

  • AIR (Asset Information Requirements)
  • OIR (Organisational Information Requirements)
  • Pre-Contract BEP (BIM Execution Plan)
  • Post Contract BEP (BIM Execution Plan)
  • Supply Chain Assessment
  • PQQ (Pre-Qualification Questionnaire)
  • PIM (Project Information Model)
  • PIP (Project Implementation Plan)
  • BIM Standards (Internal and Project Specific)
  • DpOW (Digital Plan of Work)
  • "We’ve really appreciated Majenta’s consultancy – they’ve been liaising with some of the large contractors who are now relatively advanced in BIM for help and feedback on what we’ve done and their response has been very positive."
